Course Description

Psychopharmacology is the analysis and study on the effects that medication has on the mind and brain in the treatment of mental disorders.

Included within the subject of psychopharmacology is the study of pharmacokinetics which is what medicine or pharmaceutical drugs does to the human body.

This actually includes the analysis leading to the understanding of how different medicines or medications interact, influence and affect each other.

As psychopharmacology is the study on the effects that medicine has on the human mind for the treatment of psychological or mental disorders and also to need to understand the basic areas of neuroscience, clinical medicine and the various terminologies, labeling and classification including the diagnosis of a many mental disorders.
