Echo in the Silence”

I wake, but the world does not move with me—
Your laughter once stirred dawn’s gentle light.
Now the sun rises without purpose,
As if even the sky forgets how to be bright.

Your chair still leans the way you left it,
Your scent still clings to air I breathe.
But time has no mercy for memory,
And grief carves deeper than any thief.

They say love never truly leaves us—
But yours walked out mid-sentence,
Leaving echoes in unfinished lullabies
And the hollow weight of absence.

I still reach for you in crowded rooms,
Still listen for your voice in rain.
My soul calls out like waves to shore,
Crashing only to meet pain.

You were not a chapter—I was your pages.
Now, ink spills where words won’t come.
The story halts in a tear-stained silence,
And I’m left with the silence undone.

If love could build a stairway,
I’d climb each sorrow, step by step.
But all I have are memories,
And the price of the ones we’ve kept.

So, I carry your name in quiet prayers,
Worn smooth by my whispered cries.
Love never dies—but oh, it lingers,
Like a ghost beneath the skies.
