Course Description

This programme is suitable for both interviewers and candidates.

Everyone has to prepare for an interview at some time in their life. You only get one chance to make the right impression.

Interviewing people is a skill that is learnt. This course will teach you that skill.

First and foremost, this subject is ideally suited to interviewers interviewing candidates for positions of employment. It is also ideally suited to candidates wishing to learn more on how to be the best you can be in an interview leading to your success in landing that job or work role.

Whether you’re an interviewer or candidate waiting to be interviewed, this programme will serve well for both by helping you see and understand both sides and perspectives around the interview desk.

One of the most important things upon first meeting and first sight is good body language and that includes how you hold yourself, confidence and eye contact along with a good strong posture with a warm natural inviting smile.

Good all round non verbal communication is essential and that includes keeping still without fidgeting or face touches and lip licking. Irrespective of the job you”re going for, you must dress immaculately as this shows effort in your presentation and attention to detail even if some people think you may be overdressed for the job.

If you are the interviewer and your applicant came through the door immaculately dressed, irrespective of the job they’re applying for, would you think they were unsuitable because they have dressed to well? Or would you think they have made their best effort, even if they are overdressed? Always dress well.

Dressing well is essential. Common sense is also essential and knowing when to wear a suit or just dress casually is down to the job you are applying for.

Don’t talk too much. Make comfortable eye contact and nod and agree to what is being said, this is important.

Bear in mind good respectful body language including pacing and leading or mirroring but be careful not to make it unnatural.

Sitting and moving in harmony naturally is the best route to take and don’t be moving your hand when they move theirs or cross your leg when the cross theirs or it will become obvious and then just weird or creepy. Just a relaxed similar posture and pace of energy is good.

Don’t be too friendly or it will be fake because you are NOT friends, you are the employee and he or she is the BOSS who is in charge of you and will tell you what to do and when to do it. How wrong is that?

Use good Idiom. Speaking in good language and avoiding all street language or slang and especially swear words.

Be professional, silently strong and modest, charged with confidence giving a sense that you’re a powerful and strong person just enough for the interviewer to pick up on it.

Ensure that each question is taken seriously and ask good questions back to the interviewer.

This course is suitable for managers and recruitment people for interviewing positions of employment in all walks of life.

Teaches you how to successfully interview and recruit candidates suitable for the position they’re applying for.

This content is based upon proven successful techniques showing you, not only how to put yourself at ease but how to put your candidate at ease enabling you to dig deeper into their suitability for the position.

Helps you to identify tricksters and liars along with creating tests to help you measure your candidate’s suitability for positions or the abilities needed for the role at hand.

Suitable for small businesses to managing directors and up to large corporations.

Upon completion of this study you would be far better equipped at handling interviewers and the difficult questions that are thrown at you. You will also be better equipped as an interviewer on how to actually carry out interviews successfully.

Covers both sides of the interview desk.
