Course Description

Enrolment for this course is open and I’m going all year round. Anyone is welcome to join this course with or without any background qualifications or experience. This course is ideally suited to professionals, therapists in practice and the complete beginner or novice.

The main aim of this course is to increase confidence where confidence is lacking and is based on compassion focused therapy (CFT).

This course will help students to recognise their internal negative chatter specifically centred on self-critical, negative self talk and to understand and recognise the impact it can have on one’s life. This text will teach proven techniques on how to improve self-confidence in you or in your client and help to better progress towards aspiration and short and long-term goals in life.

Utilising the latest up-to-date scientific research on self-confidence and self-esteem. Includes in-depth simplistic and practical advice with various exercises to help increase self-confidence. This course is specifically targeted to those who need help with high levels of internal self-criticism and negative self opinions/internal negative self talk.

This course text also uses proven research based techniques from CBT cognitive behavioural therapy with specific emphasis on developing an inner compassion towards oneself in order to reduce self-criticism and shame and develop a more balanced and positive outlook on life.

This method which uses Buddhist mindfulness techniques to treat a broad range of unwanted negative symptoms such as emotional and psychological difficulties as common as anxiety, anger, past trauma, low self-esteem and depression.

Grading Assessment:

This course is assessed upon the successful completion and submission of coursework with a Pass, Merit or Distinction. Distinction is 90%. All content is course work based, home study through the post or online, depending on the subject being studied. NO attendance or visits to any exam centre is required on this subject.

Entry Requirements:
There are NO entry requirements. No background training or qualifications are required. Anyone can enrol at any time, beginners, intermediates and experienced all year round. You are expected to be able to read and write or type/word process your coursework and be able to understand the English language.
