This course provides current theoretical and practical advancements in the field of CBT.

Includes an extended step-by-step guide to the in-depth processes of counselling using cognitive behavioural methods from the initial first meeting with the client to the completion of treatment. Includes case studies and uses a fictitious client in practice following a skills-based tried and tested format. Current and up-to-date bibliography, references throughout to ease learning.

This course starts with a general overview of cognitive behavioural therapy/counselling leading you through various levels of the CBC process using case studies and fictitious client to show how the model of CBC counselling works in actual practice. Shows how to deal with emotional problems including sections on anxiety related symptoms and depression. Also dealing with challenging and changing maladaptive behaviour and intrusive negative thinking.
