Alcoholism and drug addiction to some extent is a symptom of something else deeper within the unconscious mind. All unwanted symptoms and negative intrusive reactions are the result of suppressed, repressed material.

People focus far too much on the symptom and see the symptoms as the problem when in fact it’s the other way round. With regards to drug addiction and alcoholism the real problem is beneath the surface, the real problem is the underlying root cause of the symptom, alcoholism and drug addiction is the symptom, which is the only thing the sufferer sees, the impulse, the urge, the craving and so on is a reaction from it’s underlying cause. In other words something is causing the symptom to be there.

This course introduces you to the many addictions and substances currently available with specific attention to drug addiction and alcoholism and it’s various possible treatments.

This course is recommended to students who are interested in the study of human behaviour and mental activity relating to alcoholism, drug addiction, reality escapism, fear, anxiety, nervousness, self doubt, confusion and total denial within the addict.
